Are they a Buron/Repco/Supercheap item - or do I have to find it at a more specialised dealer?

The gates race timing belts are the go
A little bit more $$$$ than stock but heaps stronger around $90 I paid for mine. They are blue in colour. I always fitted a new timing belt after any engine work or head off ect $40 for stocko or $90 is a lot cheaper than bent valves and mashed pistons if one fails.
I think $329 for a kevlar belt is a bit of a waste of money though.
Cheers Andrew

I think it's just a scam.

I did a search and the only cars they had them for was imports. No other cars or valve train makers seemed to have them.

Good to see my bullshit alarm is still well calibrated.

Sounded a bit Tokyo Drift from my liking.

By the way anyone else agree that these bullet proof timing belts sound dodgy? or at least way too expensive?

I'm not sure which is functionally better, but when the time comes to fill out that hot4s spec sheet you'll be glad you spent the extra money

Looking for timing belts on ebay....came up with this

ebay item

A kevlar timing belt....$329 as opposed to about $30 for a normal rubber/fibre one.

What are others opinons rip off or genuinely better?
