yeah i was about to say, most toyotas were designed like that

Yep sure am, they are nutters, theres matt with a ke30 4age as well in there. Scotts a mechanic and matts a painter, then my best mates a panel beater, got it all, get it all for free!

Ahh its a small world! Are you going to the datnats next year, would be good to meet all the guys from here, hopefully i can afford to get my car interstate and out on the track!

current 3 or 5 series bmws actually use a glue from factory for the radiator supports repairiers have told me, they use pot rivets to put them back in after accidents as its stronger than the factor glue method....

they would probably have more strucual riggidity than a 1200 though

I cut mine out heaps... cut it with a hacksaw to keep the slots as small as possible. It doesn't seem to have moved yet. I will re-measure and double check when i weld back in. For the mean time though, with all the trial fits etc it sure is a lot easier to slide it in and out this way.

It would be easy if you had a hoist... just make up a frame or something to sit the motor on, lift the car up, wheel the motor under, and drop the car on top.

Think i'm gonna get me a hoist....
