Go the GSXR.........
These days, there's so little difference between diffferent manufacturer's, but I reckon you can't beat the silky smoothness of a Suzuki gearbox.

These days it its basically up to what colour you prefer.
I cant wait till I have to make a decision like that. On a side note, does anyone else think the NSW rider liscence laws are ridiculus? I have been riding dirt bikes since I was about 7 and it takes me a year and a half to get my liscence, riding around on my clunky old bmw r65. But my teacher at school, never riden before, jumped straight on his new ducatti a week after having no liscence at all, to being unrestricted. What can you do. Go the gixxer

Good to hear !!!
Despite this site probably full of 18 - 24 year old bulletproof superbike legends , I STRONGLY recommend paying for a course such as Superbke School in NSW & VIC. You will learn more about riding in one day than a lifetime of riding - best investment of time and money I have made IN MY LIFE !Now to get the courage up for level three Cheers

I dont think its about bike skills as much as maturity and road sense- (I'm assuming NSW has a program similar to Q-ride) the statistics speak for themselves when it comes to 17-25 y/o bike riders. I reckon once you have had 5-7 years of driving experience you should be able to get an unrestricted licence straight up, provided that you can demonstrate an ability to handle the equipment both on the road and on the track...... Q-ride isn't rigourous enough. meanwhile (in WA) I'll be sitting out my remaining 10months & 2 weeks on a gutless 250 *Edit* sorry about the thread hijack- Go the gixxer
