If its the wrx???
Theres no comparison the ute is insane regards speed and acceleration and snap your neck back power.
But the rex is smooth, comfortable, air conditioned and reliable and looks a bit more respectable for work.
But i love the power of the ute.

Going CA would mean a bunch more time and difficulty though - if it's his first conversion maybe go stock A15....to help you get the idea that the term "Bolt in" does not exist in real life.

Then at least after a 'simple' conversion the CA wont be as daunting.

Just some conservative thoughts....depends how long you can afford the car off the road.

2 weeks or 2months

Yep.. A hot A15 (injected/webers) will cost upwards of $3000. Then add $1000 for a 5 speed, and the number stop adding up...

A stock CA18DE will still keep up with the A15. and almost certainly return better fuel economy.

Mildman's got it right, and sidedraught 'hit it on the head' when he recommends picking up someone else's leftovers

i never thought of converting an EXA ca18det. how hard is that to do. do they have the same power as the siliva or 180? does it cost much to do the conversion? its just getting harder to get hold of a GOOD silvia or 180 ca these days
