Will bolt as long is its a A12 with the dizzy at the front like your A10, later model A12's out of 120ys and sunnys you need to modify the mounts to sit about 1 inch futher forward.

Welcome back!!

If you use the early A12 motor it will bolt straight up to the factory mounts but if you use a later one you wil need to modifiy th engine mounts a tad (pretty easy)

Also depending on what adapter plate you use for a down draught "DGV" style webber it may hit the bonnet. Better to go side draught.

Hope this helps. Chers. Adam.

What i have found with the 1000 gearboxes is that the input shaft sticks out more then a A12 box! A A10 crank is made to accomidate this but obivously not a A12. Im not sure on the column shift but am positive on the 4spd floor shift. You have to grind down the end of the imput shaft about 10-15mm maybe more.

I did that with my old ute when i blew the 1000 box up(A12 in it). bolted the new 1000 box up and nothing moved at all. motor coulnt be turned over etc. pulled the box out and found that was the reason!

sounds about right! as long as its a early A12. that is with dizzy at the front. You may hove to cut a hole in your floor for the shifter if it doesnt have a hole from factory. if it does, your fine!
