Also just found out a new wrinkle in fitting them to a US car. Jap/Oz spec cars have the number plate below the bumper and the bumper has a cut-out for it. Since the US spec cars have the number plate between the lights, I either need to modify the bumper to close the gap or fill in the plate recess on the body...

nzdatman, Quite a few of the sedans came out with a14's in them in Aus.
That's how I can run a 1587cc in my Sunny, I'm using the original 1400 block. I have homoligation papers and workshop manual to prove all of this.

Since the US spec cars have the number plate between the lights, I either need to modify the bumper to close the gap or fill in the plate recess on the body... the cutout on the rear bumper is for the round headlight models as their rego plate sits down there, on the square headlight model it sits between the rear lights. Because I dont like the look of the cut out bumper, I will fit a later model bumper and I have made a numberplate recess between the lights, which will be the new home to my fuel filler. I am using a HQ numberplate garnish to flap the numberplate down when filling up Photo That pic shows both numberplate areas Also, you will need to make sure you have the correct numberplate lights for where your plate is located, as one model has the light facing down and the other has it above the bumper shining up

Just found an image of a plastic bumper front when tens_and_twenties had it covered.

Oldie but goodie
turns out there are three types of B310 bumpers * Plain, all metal bumper * Fancy, all metal bumper with bolted-on rubber end caps * Large Safety bumper [WB310 type (sport wagon), OPTION on sedan & coupe) The best thing is that the rubber-capped bumpers appear to be the same as the plain bumpers once you remove the end caps. It's complicated by some had rubber strips bolted along the face and those leave bolt holes in the bumper, but I suppose you can put chrome carriage bolts in the holes H85 plain bumper on VB310 regular wagon. DX sedan & coupe used this ![]() H89 luxe bumper on KB310 ![]() safety bumper on WB310 sport wagon ![]() The fancy bumper used a "sight shield" and different stays, so maybe it sticks out further than the plain bumper. Anyone tried this?

Those are all B310 bumpers. I wouldn't bee surprised if they fit A10 Stanza, they look identical except A10 has them sticking out a lot farther
