here's a photo of JDM early B310, it looks like this type of ECONO METER is just a green light for light throttle pressure like newer cars have (my 2009 has an "Eco" light)

The B210/120Y version was a full vacuum gauge with green and yellow zones

Has anyone seen how the Economonitor worked. That's the round gauge next to the speedo in the early car. I think a series of light rings changed colour with the change in engine vacuum, as it was connected to the manifold by a rubber hose. The only Sunny I had that had one was my early (11/78) Panel Van, & it didn't work. Changed it out for a Coupe dash with a tacho, then a complete late model dash from door to door with the late coupe cluster.

The 1980 210s were advertised in October 1979. Early newspaper ads show round-headlamps "new 1980 Datsun 210" well into the 1980 calendar year. I have an October newspaper article that talked about the "1980-1/2 facelift" that occurred earlier that summer. All 210 manufactured starting in December 1979 were square headlight but it must have taken a while to get to dealers

the only substantial difference I see in Deluxe photo vs Standard photo is the amount of chrome on the grille
