luckily the every part # thing can coexist, it would be helpful for all parts, heads are always something we're trying to figure out what this or that head is or where it came from.

it should get huge ;) we've all done a lot of work over the years doing this stuff.

I can't think of anything to contribute now...

I was just thinking a wiki page completely devoted to 1000's would be awesome - to correlate all of the known mods and data in one place.

that would be awesome

maybe there should be a thread for the people working on the wiki. I've been working on transmission swaps and some other pages here and there.

if you're going to be writing stuff, register on the wiki so it's easier to tell who did what.

how does one make an article VS a category, and should articles be used for how to's and leave the info in the category page?

i'm trying to stay up late so i'm adding random links and stuff as i see things i know answers to.

check out the page you can make for yourself and the talk page.

If we can get some of the people who constructed the interesting cars to explain how and what they did that could be good too.

i added that bit, i've had that happen

Question
DD
should i continue working on that 63-Series_Transmission page, or is that working against the 5 speed page?

I'm starting to see where things are going.
I guess my question is, it would be nice to have a detailed info page for things like 63a trannies, but it's probably duplicating what's in the 5 speed page...

I see, some of what's hapening is those pages are getting articleized.

Good question.

The 5-speeds article is an "overview". It is certainly reasonable to have a "detailed" page all about 63-series transmissions. You can add 4-speed 63 info there too, details on the swap, etc. If the "overview" is too detailed, it could be pared down to a quick summary with a link to the 63-page. Things like the ID section are good as-is.

Let's just keep it 1200-centric, or at least related (B-series rwd vehicles). We don't want articles like "How to swap 63 5-speed into Datsun Stanza". Although this is good "How to swap Stanza engine into Datsun 1200".
