OK, the question about B210s.

The Encyclopedia was envisioned as a Datsun 1200 (B110/B120)-centric project.

Here's my take. Most B-series rear-wheel-drive info is good to know for us 1200 owners. So we don't mind it. This includes B10, B210 and B310 as well as the trucks (B20, B120, B122, B140, etc). I have even contributed some information to Tech Section (e.g. the PB210 article).

But remember the Encyclopedia -- like this site -- is mainly for Datsun 1200. So please call it out when you are discussing other models. For example, maybe B210 info should be in another article.

Let's take the "Engine" article. It will focus primarily on the "Datsun 1200 Engine" -- an overview of what that is. Of course information about the whole A series range is good. But that's already in the Wikipedia (and a GOOD article I might add): Nissan A engine on Wikipedia.

In the Engine article we might mention that B210s also came with A12s and highlight how those A12s are different from the B210's A12. Keep in mind that the "Engine Swaps" article also has a lot of this info.

In short:
* Keep it Datsun B-series-centric (rwd)
* For non-1200 stuff, break it out in another section or another article if possible

e.g. see the "Datsun 1000" section in the Canada article. The "Canada" article is mainly about the Datsun 1200 community, but there is a section calling out Datsun 1000 information as shown in the Table of Contents.

i understand.
It's the difference between the category page and an article.

there's plenty of variety just involved in the B series vehicles to make a lot of info.

I just added another section to the main table of contents - see what you guys think.

A category for each of a bunch of closely related vehicles.

I think those cars and their evolution to and from the 1200 is important enough to include them.

Seems like a good idea. Things like "disk brake swaps for Datsun 1000" can belong to the "Datsun B10" category.

I updated the categories a bit, see if you like them.

Nice work indeed DD - looking fantastic!

This is just the kick start I needed to start sharing some more info with the 1200 community!

great work guys keep the good stuff flowin
just a suggestion maybe you could put a whole workshop manual specs and options in it so that if ever in need all the information is at anybodys disposal and that way anybody new the the 1200 scene or looking at purchasing a 1200 will have factory specs and information sitting right in front of them
keep up the good work and if most people contribute it will be done in no time at all (as long as you know your stuff that is)
cheers kurt

workshop manuals could get into a gray area, they are written and copyrighted by someone.
If we could get a letter in writing from nissan allowing us to host a pdf of the workshop manuals as we are a established group with historical interest and aren't making any money or selling anything.

Or anyone that ever wrote a manual, maybe something not published in 20 years.

Or, we undertake the "open datsun1200" project and we redo the manuals based on the FSM and what we've learned over the years and take new pictures and do new write ups. Then WE own the content and can repost it.

Good idea with the sections for the various cars.

Looking great people - I might do some stuff in the B10 section if I get time.

Now... can we do something about the Daisy image in the top left corner?
