ok I've got some video up on youtube.com.
It's not much to look at but the sound is cool.
Datsun 1200's at Fuji Speedway

Skyline and 350z JGTC, etc
It took me about 6hrs to get to Fuji Speedway. I had to take 2 trains, the Shinkansen, another 2 trains and a bus. It only took 4 hrs to return as I had gotten the hang of things and could transfer trains more efficiently.
Obviously it was sensory overload once I got off the bus at the event. The B110's were running as I arrived. So I ran to try and take some pics and video. After their run, I went to the pits to try and take pictures of these famous cars.
The language barrier was in full force. I met Hirota-san, the driver of the yellow #84 Hirota - Tomei b110. I said "hajimi mashita" and that it was an honor to meet him, I bowed, I flashed my Datsun1200.com t-shirt logo and he gave me his buisness card. A very nice person. I just wish I could speak more Japanese.
There were lots of people. More Skylines than anything else. This track is located on the base of Mt Fuji. Due to overcast, I couldn't see it.
Here are a few pictures.

Here's a video of the same type of bullet train I took to get there.
Shinkansen Drive By at Toyohashi station

Special thanks to Sunny coupe110 for the track and transportion info.

I also use these site to figure out my train scheduels...

The 1200's sounded sick!

I cant wait to go to Japan. I am thinking of going next year for the JCCA Tsukuba Summer Meeting.

I can't remember, without searching, for the member with the fiberglass buisness that was talking about these fontends.
Here's a close-up pic for you...

Put that extra valve cover and annoying packaging staps to good use...

What's the deal with these? They must be expensive.

Thanks for the pics, nice machinery there!

I like the spaced down leaf/shock mount on the undercar pic, this would be to give the shock more travel.

I think that the aluminum piece raises the suspension mounting point without modifying the body. I am assuming that the car has to conform to certain rules, so they are limited in which modifications they can use.
i think looking at it, the ribs on top of the "bracket" should really add strength.

I wish that I could have been there!
Post as many pics as you can!!!

kick ass

Incredible pictures. The picture of the rear sway bar reminds me of the Datsun 1200 race manual, it talks of sway bars affixed in that manner.
Where in Japan is this races going on? We should have a Japan trip information guide for Datsun fans traveling to Japan.

Cool
