Hey I was wondering if any of you datophiles out there would know where i could get hold of a "split s" style badge to suit my 1000 2 door. Iv seen them on jap spec cars, some seem to have one on the left hand lower side of the grille. Im after the one that replaces the centre "D" style badge on the grille.

The last one of them that I saw, sold for a tad over $200. I don't know about everyone else but that is a bit hefty for a badge in my eyes.

Must be why someone stole the one off my GX sedan.....grrr

Two hundred dollars wow. Mildman did your gx have the split "s" as standard?. I cant see where a commondore owner would fit a split "s" badge.

Yeah it did - I was actually a 1200 Sedan from South Africa, I kept the Nissan ID plate, it had the split S in the middle of the grille and GL at the bottom passenger side of the grille.

It also had the GX badges on the C pillars.

Don't know why someone pinched them all? I don't think they are really worth much, or if they are only worth a lot to very few people.

Myself I don't mind if my Datsuns have no badges....but then again I don't have a streeter - only track cars at this stage.

Still it is not cool to steal stuff. Whomever did it must be the wrong kind of Datto fan , one that steals and has bad vibes.

Probably half my fault for living in such a crap suburb at the time. It's a place called Carrum Downs - one of the highest crime rates in my state of Australia!

That SS or single S split is awesome.
That is my thing, to have variations of the norm that make me stand of the crowd.

Any of us that travels to far away foreign lands like Central Asia, South East Asia, South America.....Africa....whomever has the chance should look out for these unique stuff. What is daily issue in one place is complete stumping in another land!
