keep your original rails so that its easy to bolt to the floor. Make a template of the new seat bolt location on a square piece of cardboard or ply . then you can start to determine the mods required .It may also help to just pull out your existing seats and just place the new ones in. This will give you some idea of height &width and see if there is any serious problem like seat belt mount location or maybe your doors wont close(although i doubt that would happen)

The problem with fitting the wrx seats and retaining the wrx rails is not so much getting it bolted in, rather its getting them to sit low enough. even with the seat rails removed it sits bout same mabey even a tad higher than standard. so to do it ill have to cut down the body rails if u know wat i mean. ps this woud be much easier in a manual body as the big auto tunnel adds a few more spanners to the works.

I have S13 seats in my 1000. The intergrated headrest design ones. All i did to make them fit was bend the front 2 hole 'tabs' down to 90 insted of 45 deg. then drill a hole in the box section the original seats sat on and put bolts through it. For the back i will just be making brakets up with C section and weld that onto the floor and bolt the seats to that...

But this is all useless to you unless 1000 and 120Y floorpans are simmiler... I only used those seats because I got them for free!
