Does anyone know where one could find the spline info for a QR20DE? I have been thinking this engine would be suitable for what I want in my 180B. But I am not a trailblazer with hugh sums of money to burn. Any info is good.

Id like to find this manifold. Plastic and doesnt seem to have the mechanism or the desing of the dual variable manifold setup.

Yeah the QR25de has some issues but I wouldnt be surprised with all the failures.

It will be quite a challenge to get the wireless throttle body (have to change it?), the ignition system and VVL

Thanks DD you have made this club a half way house for so many tuners looking for info Kudos to you.

With the qr25 it has to have the worst rod stroke ratio of any modern production engine and the qr20 can see 9000rpm and the pistons speed is about as fast as the qr25 at 6500.

The qr20 is a more reliable formula. 1.903 rod/stroke ratio sounds beautiful and is a nice 1998cc which qualifies well for under 2ltr classes.

QR engine is discussed in depth in our club wiki: QR Engine.

But if you're gonna go with an import engine, you should get the QR25DE -- 25% more horsepower and torque! Same weight and same size on the outside.

Its pretty much a copy of the cosworth BDA 2ltr but much much improved for NA setups.
Micropolished crank, rods, 152.9 mm rods (136.3 mm sr20 very poor 1.585 stroke ratio vs 1.9 for the QR20) and short piston pin height, BDA style valve actuation, s2000 style ladder sump with mains, bigger bore, shorter stroke, smaller more compact thank to the lighter pressure die cast rather than sr20 sand casting process and it has so many other things going for it.
150hp base for the sentra and 170-175hp for the x-trail.
with proper exhaust, induction 15hp-20hp is freed and removing the counter balance shafts another 10-15hp hp.
without a sweat 200hp and with the right mild custom cams and ecu another 40-50hp is available even more with more aggresive cams.

To get some of these things done to any other engine will cost 3-5 times more than 1500au

In one of the cornerstone threads in this place it dicsusses engine options, the QR being the the next logical upgrade from an SR when parts and power don't work your way. They have potential.

It's a no reserve auction and I don't imagine there is much demand for them. We get newer model parts for cheap but try and find parts for or a complete 1200 for cheap. Because I can't.
