I rekon buy and fit em, they dont come up often and it would add to the authenticity and sleeper side of things.

Its official! Luke and i Changed a Head gasket by ourselves!!!!!!

well we had help from our mechanic after Luke over tightened a Rocker bolt and snapped it at the thread!! so our mechanic came over after work and drilled it out for us!!!! so we gave him a few beers!!

otherwise the car now runs..

Must say a HUGE thanks to Dattodude for supplying another rocker bolt for us!

As i was saying, it runs has a idle problem but the fact we didnt blow up the car is good enough.!!!!!!

And bar the idling issue it runs a ####load better. A lot smoother when you put your foot down and the engine isn't shakin' all over the place.

Sounds like I've got a hole in the exhaust now though, so more work still to come!

Extra special thanks to Kirstie for all of her hardwork. I'm lucky to have a wife that's more mechanically competent and patient then myself.

In regards to the wagon, i am considering either getting one of those sunshae things to go across the windscreen, and/or a weathershield to go over the driver door.

what do you all think? Keep in mind i am going for the stock look here!

Sunshade =

Weathershield thingy =

Only my opinion though.

A sunshade will add to the sleeper/original/restored look but I always have hated those weathershield things. But as with everything to do with cars, do what you want, you're the one that has to look at it everyday!
