Your ute is looking very good so far..
just when you go to paint or prime the car make sure all metal is clear of rust and drown the car in fish oil so its dosen't rust. other wise it will f^*k you in the ass later and will bubble with rust.

Do you have any pics of the tray etc where the guiy cut the floor out and moved the rails? Ute is looking good by the way, and I have total respect for you for having a go at it...it's hard work!!

Thanks Wattage...nahi haven't taken any pics of the tray where it was cut out n where they moved the rails.....was planning to n then my camera decided to sh1t itself so i have to get a new camera now.....

yeah it is hard work but i know in the end the hard work will have been worth it

ok i took about an inch worth of bog off that really messy weld job - so messy even the blck stone guard stuff can't hide it underneath.

Took AGES to do even with the wire wheel on the angle grinder

Spent the day swithching between sanding down Iestyn's cot, and workin on the engine bay.

using the wire wheel to get another inch of bog off the corner behind the strut tower........

the big red circle shows the tin foil that u get a meat pie in...it was shoved into a big rust hole and covered in bog to fill the hole!!! - anyone else found this kind of DIY fix-it job in their datto??

the other pic is just the top of the rust hole!

also when i was taking some of the bog off the opposite corner, there is chicken wire instead of a meat pie foil thing..anyone found bad DIY fix-it jobs like these?

Yip my ute is the same lot's and lot's of bog front flares where made of chicken wire scrap steel and bog. Found an patch that had been super glued in.
