new engines and carbys mix but power is usually down from the standard efi setup, plus you would have a track car only, cant register legally a new engine with carbys, wont meet the emmissions criteria for engenieering.

L series would be great after seeing pig dogs creation... even in a 1200, it looks like it should naturally be there.

But a15 is nice too

i'm with the pig.

something right about an l-series in a b210

even though we've seen l-series so many times in 510's, it's not all that common in a sunny

for my money, i'd run a punched out l18 (lower deck height) with all the trimmings

well depending who you talk to they will tell your efi is better or carbs are better. Thats comparing 2 systems that are simmiler in style. like quad throttle bodies and DCOE's.

I would say efi with a good computer behind it and a well designed quad throttle body setup would be ideal. Then you can go to indovidual coils for each spark plug and other neato things like that! I would also imagine more tuneable.

Interesting. I think the question about carbies on a CA has been asked before and there was a pic or 2 of the conversion. I cant remember how long ago it was posted, maybe in the last 6 months. Its a good idea and has plenty of merrit. AND ITS DEFINATLY DIFFERENT, which is great. Barry at the Carby Centre (in Punari ST near brake mart) may be able to help, if not steer you in the right direction. I myself am too lazy to convert back to carby but I miss the ease of being able to tune with a screwdriver not a laptop and dyno.

As I've been hacking away at my coupe for a while and severral things cross my mind and one of them I keep coming back to is engines.

I know I've already started gathering parts for my A15 but every time I think about it I feel it may not be enough for what I'm looking for. L series power would be good, LZ series would be better but I'm certain there wont be anything related to those coming up my way.

The next logical thought would be a CA18 Turbo but I don't want to run a turbo at the sprints and hillclimb events, I'd rather kick some arse in the 1500cc - 2000cc class. Bla bla bla, something about fuel injection (I forgot what I don't like about it??)

Anyway, who has knowledge and experience in running carburised modern engines? In my case I'm thinking of a CA using dual 45DCOE webers as I think they would be utilised better on that size engine providing good power and nice even toque.

Thoughts? sugestions? experience?
