Yes, I was there & holey moley was it ever hot, with 99.99% humidity I'm sure, as the perspiration was just running from my brow, & everyone else was the same. I was surprised that none of the drivers passed out while waiting in line as a result of wearing their funny suits in that heat.

I bought a dozen cans of fizzy drink on the way up there & stored them in my little car fridge. I gave a couple away to deserving recipients & none survived long enough to make it home. Like I said, it was hot.

I will do a bit of a report asap.

Well, well, well ....... event run and won (not by me ) but all good fun nonetheless. Dodgeman was on the job taking plenty of pics so he will probably post a full report ....
But ....
Hot day at the track and yes, not an Escort to be seen The big challenge didn't eventuate ... typical escort owner .... probably at home thinking of an excuse
As we all knew - Datto rules!!!!
Cheers

That's what I like ..... like minded Datto owners!!! Yeah, the Escort has stick but we'll check his bravery under brakes I'm hoping the new brakes will get me a little closer to a decent time but we'll see. Really looking forward to a drive at O.P. - last time at the GP circuit I was down a cylinder with the A14 - so hopefully this outing will be a big improvement!
Cheers

Good to hear Aiden. You'll be amazed with the T50 (I assume). I reckon it knocked half a second off per lap when I installed mine.

I'm trying to get there. The car hasn't started since round 3 or 4 last year due to my uni committments. Michael won't be attending as his twins are due the week before.

It just kinda depends on how much work is involved in getting the car going properly. I remember the diff was very sloppy last race meet. Other than that, I can't really remember what needs to be done.

Good to see your going too Jeff. I can't wait to race along side (maybe behind) your L20. Lets see how late you can brake too!!!

Hope to finaly meet you and your car Andrew.

PS: The boss is ALWAYS there!!

PS: Theres nothing wrong with eskies - providing they are full with beer and ice.

Yeah I am very keen to find out how much I can improve my times. Have yet to run the GP circuit with the newish Advans.
Also the shorter diff ratio allowed by the 5 speed might make a bit of difference.
Hoping to get under 1:30, but i'll be happy with any improvement.

Yeah i'll be bringing the sedan up with newly installed toymota 5 speed box. "The Boss" will be there as well, maybe he can keep your mate in the escort honest.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone and also to the new season...
