wanting ot know how big do i need to make the trans tunnel for a AUTO CA18DET?? its already been cut out for wat i assume is a manual.....have a look at the pics in my thread ( the link ahould be in my siggy)......i am looking at making it auto as i am not that good a driving a manual n stuff n being the lunatic driver i am prob better control for me!

i know the basics of driving a manual but not confident....besides if i take it to WSID i'd b able to control it better! and i don't want Luke to have all the fun driving it..its my car not his!

you will need to trial fit the engine and gearbox in the ute to see how much clearance you need..

if u can drive manual id say go for it..

if confidence and control are your only reasons for not wanting a manual.. then i wouldnt worry as you will have the hang of it in a matter of days
