so your sure the track doesn't go downhill?

Well, normally we drag race uphill and with a headwind.
That is because our cars post such good times that we here in South Africa cannot let you guys in Australia look bad on your 1/4 mile times.

Why don't you guys give Sparky a break, everyone of you had to start somewhere - I'm sure that the 383 engined datto wasn't your first car buddy, nor your first attempt at building a fast car.
Do Datsun 1200's & 1400's suddenly not qualify as been vehicles that enthusuasts can hot up and pit against other similar engined vehicles? Or have I missed something here? If this is so, why don't we all cram 400 chev motors into our drives and forget about been enthusiasts...and this site, and forums, and start a new site called "take the easy way out" .com

"off a cliff"-thats hilarious!
my datsun is the first car i have ever taken down the track bones.and was my first atempt at building a car.
and if putting a chev into a datsun is supposed to be the easy way out then i suggest you have a try.it ain't easy.
you did have one good idea though, how about a section just for fast, tough datsuns?that way everyone who takes the easy way out can talk about how much it sucks having nice, fast cars.
c'mon, are you really that backwards?or is the gene pool a bit messed up in south africa?

i was simply correcting your wrong statement about me and my car.
and if it wasn't for my posts this topic would have died a week ago, almost as fast as sparkys dreams of a slow, boring drag car!

Me thinks we should stop this mudslinging. The original post was done to ask about the performance expectations of a given set of parameters, not what motor is better in what car.

All to their own, and let everyone decide if the want to use original engines, V8 or for that matter Toyota engines, but answer the question asked or don't comment if it's not going to be constructive.
