"The Iron Maiden" is no longer black, gold & cream...

it is now Flat black and cream (tempoary) as we ran out of paint... as soon as I can get another can it will be black all over

the front drivers guard was already done as was 75% of the front left one...two 400g cans did everything bar half the drivers door, and the passenger side doors...

can't wait to finish that paintjob...

strangely "The Yellow Peril" is hotter inside - only because I have removed the hoodlining and the doortrims...

as I intend to fit the door locks to the doors of "The Iron Maiden" next time I go up to the farm...

it's A12 runs like a nut - starts first time - unlike the A12 in "The Iron Maiden" pump it 3 times then crank for about 30 seconds...

however I have been offered another 120Y 4 door sedan and a Stanza...

if the Stanza is an A10 (A14 powered) I will relieve it of it's engine and gearbox and front end and put them into "The Iron Maiden"

if it is a PA10 (L16 powered) I don't know... I might put the engine and gearbox into my '55 Austin A50... and the front end into "The Iron Maiden"...

don't know - will have to check them out...

if the body of this "new" 120Y is good I may have to go to "L"

as I just "said"... my rusted out sunny is hotter...

The Good:

it definitely is true... Black is the best colour to make a pile of crap look good...

it has hid the rustholes at the top of the A and C pillars well! as well as the tear in the left hand mudguard...

The Bad:

flat black is a dust magnet...

heat inside the car... where the car is was recently 51.9 degrees (C)... so I would NOT be driving it then...

the heater no longer works... no more cool air... (wiring stuffed... might (read "WILL") have to wire up a switch to make it "live again"...
