Hey all.
I'll soon be getting new springs and am wanting to know what spring rates everyone runs.
Want to hear from everyone, full time track datsuns to total street datsuns and everything in between.
Datto is going to run worked a15.

Any recommendations are very welcome.

Cheers
Chris

With my 1200 sedan with a CA18, I currently run 200pd fronts, which would be ok for racing. But I'll be uprating to 250s soon, as I recently hit a pothole and it bottomed out badly. Having coilovers with solid bearing camber plates make street driving quite noisy. I have sports rated shocks to suit 260Z in the front. But they aren't enough.

I will have to start looking for some bilstein or koni shocks soon.

As I have a custom 5 link rear end, my rears are less important to others. But they are about 250pd, and mounted diagonally at about 60 degrees to the horizontal. I'd like to raise the spring rate on the rear to 275 or 300pd too.

i run 175lb linear rate springs on the front on a coilover setup. it's only carrying an A12 tho, not enough weight to need 200lb plus, but still gives my a kidneys a good rattle when we go for a long drive

In my 180B with an L20B motor ( 2 door ) I got Ground Control coil overs in the front with Eibach springs 175lbs.
Be mindfull about the fact that your 1200 has a lighter A12 engine. A full race suspension might not be the best suspension for the street. Full race I mean real stiff springs. Sway bars will take care of your cornering.
But no worries, you can always downgrade or upgrade, it is your own personal taste and confort that counts.

I'm running 250# Eibach springs in a Ground Control coil-over setup. Still have the factory rubber mounted strut bearings. KYB GR2 Zed shocks.

Ride if quite firm but not harsh. The 250# springs on the front match the factory leafs in the rear nicely.

I used 200lb king springs on the front when I was running Aseries. I changed to 275lb with the CA18 as its a fair amount heavier in the front end. Both setups work well on the track as well as the road.
