Its driving me crazey

Any ideas any on

Gearbox conversions
even like a c4 or any auto

Dellow out of question
$1500 for the housing with everything.
NO WAY

Cheep t50 complete. starter to yoke

Any advice on auto conversion like

Rigoli 1200 ute i think its a trimatic.
It wont go as good 4 the street but my bro is putting 100hp NOS when he races it
That should gert it moving

And they are so cheep
$200 with 2500 stall

MY question is how much for the custom addapter or bellhousing.
And what other things it need.
Would it use the fly and stater off the 4agze or the trimatic.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez help

why watse cash on an adaptor for the traumatic if you still have to buy an adaptor for the manual gearbox.
waste of money twice round.

either save up for the dellow and baby round on the sprinter box low boost style or just keep replacing the ae86 boxs every time you blow them... not likely in the dato as they are lighter than the sprinters so less strain on drivetrain that way

Agree with the rest. Unless you are going to aim for sub ~9sec stick to manual. Autos eat power unless you spend thousands on them ie. rigoli's ute

everyone I know (...3 people) with 4agzes has popped 3rd gear in T50s, and they are all pretty much stock motors, all under 140rwkw. Rather than paying $300 ever time you break one, spend the money now and do it properly.

or just know its limitations and dont push it hard, but thats easier said than done

wrong pager. the problem with autos are theyve been advanced with all new ways the improve them they are getting just as good as the manual (still not as good as popping the clutch off the line and smashing gears down the track)
but also the expense has dropped alot it no longer costs thousands to do a good box up.
DAMN technology i say go top loader with a vertical gate shifter at least u wont break it

but she wants manual fat120y, why bother spoening more money on an adaptor for a gearbox she doesnt want.

I agree, do it properly and spend the cash now... but she is not willing to spend the $1500 now.

T 50s are no good as they will break. They can only handle about 180 BHP fly.

These are the boxes that fit 4age's. these boxes were also fitted to some celicas and coronas but with diff bell housings. also come with 2 diff splines.....theres plenty about it on the net. google bradshaw toyota ??

the bigger boxes are needed for turbo cars...if you can't afford to do the bigger box...then you can't afford to own a reliable turbo charged 4age!!!!

yeah they will brak, like a 56a behind a a15... but if shes not willing she will have to live with 180hp or less, or just wait for them to break like us a15 suffering folk... till i get my 60a, thanks datrat dave!
