have a look here
ill post up the dyno sheet tonite which shows all the runs with a best of 238hp...
the last run which i missed on video was the best...

dyno video

dd....
lots of icy water was sprayed on the intercooler before and during the run......
the displacment of the a14 should make the power figure a little better...
as well as the extra boost forced into the beast...
he only runs 8psi on the street... and has had this stock a12 in for months now...

i was a non believer at first...

240hp at the wheels is 180rwkw!!
Maybe im missing something?? I should have stuck with the stock A12 and fitted a $500 turbo then fitted some injection and made more power than a developed multivalve higher capacity Ca18??? Maybe my tune is just #### LOL

it works for me....

good one ca18det man... sour grapes hey..
the turbo is a gt28r 320hp same as the s15... and cost $1100 not $500

the head has custom made oversize valves, portwork, fuel injection, electronic ignition, etc.
all of which was custom made by Headworx..

im sure he will sell u his secret magic formula for the $10000 u spent on the ca....

ok we wanna know how this was done .....Datsun boys hold no secrets back regarding these things you know......
If I had 240 Hp out if a 1.2 litre a series running in IPRA I would wipe the floor.
I wonder if the thing would be a grenade...

right we need some answers or we will find out where you live

head
valves
springs
cam profile and brand
bottom end work done
ecu
plenum setup
injectors
intercooler
and any more info you care to divulge...
I wanna build one

No sour grapes mate just wondering how an A12 can go so well thats all. Headwork seems to be the key does he still run the stock cam?? Im just trying to imagine how a 1200cc engine will flow enough air to make that kind of power with that kind of boost level. It obviously does but just getting my head around it.
As for turbo price Im not ####ing stupid !! Ive been around cars long enough to know what works and what costs what.
Second hand BB S15 turbos go for around $500-$700 and new Gt28s around the $1000-$1200 I used to run one on my old stocker Ca18 and made 170rwkw @15psi
$10K is all up including engine build injection, turbo engine management CDI tuning ect ect
How much do you think he has spent on his A12??
On a side note does he plan an taking it down the quarter?? with that power and lite weight she should be good for high 11's
Cheers Andrew

That really is impressive, I dont know how driveability would be with that state of tune, but for showing up the Hi tech boys at the shootout its getting my vote as engine of the year.

power figures dont mean much until you know how much tractive effort they put into the dyno. highly improbable rather than impossible is what i would like to think, concidering i am looking for one of those turbos for my 1400 that has a ca18 turbo on it at the moment only making 120hp at 13 psi with turbo suited internals. if your mate gets a chance to dyno it again do it on a different dyno as a reliability comparison. if it made similar figures on another dyno then it is impossible to knock it. i would expect another 20-30hp out of the bigger displacement. what do you think?
