hi all just bought a ute thinking of ditching the motor/box have an idea of toyota 4a/5speed out of ae71 corolla last rear wheel drive has any one done this ?what else cheerz ME

You can get a dellow bellhousing to suit a a-series for around the $500 mark. Or you could go A14 box, their a bit stronger. Or humt down a 5spd for about $1k!

If your swapping engine to something different completely just use a box off that car!

Sure, lots of people have swapped 4A engine into Datsun 1200. See this: 4A swap guide.

AE71 was the 1983 Corolla, with carbureted 4A SOHC engine. AE85/AE86 was the last RWD 1984-1986 with fuel injected DOHC engine.
