Hey Campo, I reakon in future like next year or something a few of us could organise things like going to Datnats from here, kinda like someone way up north starts it off then who ever else is coming joins the convoy as they get to that town. That way sheduling holidays with work could be sorted out and all that other crap.
I wouldn't mind taking my car to some other point in Queensland, the futhest I've been from Townsville with it is Ayr and Charters Towers. But it was stock and not "tired" then so ensureing everything was working fine would be the go.

yeah that would be the way to go littledarkone. i dont think i could drive all that way without a convoy. might end up with a massive posse by the time we get there

yeah come on down fellas, i used to drive to the jamboree in QLD every year...
1200rc last minute effort? unheard of! Evan hopefully your mobile will be efi'd i'm keen to see that. i'm sure the boofmobile will be as immac as always well a mini update... i've managed to catch a cold so i've not left the couch in a couple of days . i've pushed the dyno back until wednesday now. on a lighter note all the front suspension and brakes are in! it is mighty stiff at the moment and needs a wheel allignment badly. the yokohama race tyres and 13 x 7 rims that sikyne awesomely helped me out with will juuuust fit and provide some good traction the car looks tough with its camber, just gotta bleed brakes and clutch and hook up an accel cable and go for a little tootle down the street. all i need is to be able to stand up for more than two minutes! ![]()

thanks adrian
the inside is remaining stock but on the track ady i'm putting in a race seat harness and smaller steering wheel. the old standard 1600 'anti buckets' won't really do the trick.daveman is getting his registered next week and then its going to be the quickest CA18det conversion in history!

I should start thread of my own but I don't know how to post pictures in the body?
I spent the day cleaning and prepping the CA to be dropped in. The plan is, the car is getting registered on tuesday, it will come home, the A12 will come straight out and the CA straight in. I've recruited a few sets of hands to help me out over the following weekend so all going to plan my sedan will be CA'd for the nats. It's a bit ambitious but after driving around a little on the stock A12 I'm not sure it would even make it up the hill around the backside of P.I.!
