Take spark plugs out attach em to the leads and earth em,then turn engine over and look for spark in all plugs.if theres spark and its not the carbie(fuel) could possible be timming

Take fuel pump outlet hose of carbie, turn engine over see if fuel comes out of hose

With plugs reinstalled, take airfilter off then turn engine over whilst turning over spary that aero start stuff down carbie(or just splash some fuel) and see if it kicks.

tri those and tell us wat u find, hope it helps

edit: ahhahaha beat u to it sunny

Could it possibly be the fuel pump?

Hi, thought i would share what happened to my motor and see if any of you have an idea as to what would cause it!
To start with, I was driving home one afternoon and my motor just stopped!
No noises, nothing!
Tried to get it going again and would turn over till the cows came home but wouldn't fire! I checked all fuel lines and everything was ok.
Thought it could be electrical so did what i could,(New leads, points, condenser, checked that all wiring was where it should be) didn't find a thing! took it to an auto elec who charged me $380 to tell me that by all accounts it should be running!! Duh!!
They then sent it to a mechanic who in turn charged me another $150 to tell me that the problem was the carby! I had by that stage tried 3 different carby's on the car! WAS NOT THE CARBY!! This is why I am looking at doing an engine swap but if this can be fixed I would like to try and keep my original motor in the car, with go fast bits of course!
So, if anyone can shed any light whatsoever on this problem of mine please let me know, It would be greatly appreciated!
