springs that are too short for the strut insert and all as unsafe as each other.......

clear enough

if you only want to cut one coil off, it wont make them unsafe

If you would prefer not to cut them pull them out and take them to a suspension shop. They will be able to have them reset lower which will also make them stiffer.

and guess what, they wont be any safer than springs that are cut to the same height
but they will cost more
