i recently bought the 2 door in adelaide thats was for sale. i was thinking of importing one from japan b4 i saw that one. it was gonna cost $4-8K. so thats cheap and its not a head case to comply. i agree if u wanna spend the cash on a ground up rebuild then whats a few rusty pannels. be luck just to see one here i recon

Hi Bozman, The car is worth what you ask for a person wanting a very rare 2 door sedan.
I would get the car out of the shed give it a wash and get a few good shots.
My 2 door was in a similar condition but the crappy bolt on panels are easy to source.
presentation is everything.

Surely someone is interested in a 2 door. Don't worry about the bullsh*!t comments that have been said about the vehicle.

It is not as if there are that many to choose from. Anyhow I thought that I would offer it to 1200 nuts first before putting it on any other sites.

$1800 to get your seats recovered....they must be some nice seats

personally id think you would have to actually see the car in person before saying its to rusty....sure it looks to have its fair share of surface rust and rust stains, but its not like there are any huge holes in it (not that i can see anyway)

id say for someone that wants to build a 2 door sedan its every bit worth the $1400

If you are going to do a ground up resto on a car, a bit of rust doesnt make that much difference in the whole budget, it only amounts to a week of extra time (if that) in fixing the rust, and with rarer cars (like all the cars I have) its just par for the course because you are just lucky to get your hands on one, rusty or not. (normally rusty)
People will either have the skill set to fix the rust or take it as an oppurtunity to learn how.

$1400, thats less than a Dellow 5 speed conversion, less than I sold my H150 LSD for, 1/4 of what it cost to paint my car, its $400 less than I paid to get my seats re covered, its the price of a new set of wheels and tyres.

as with everything it is worth as much as someone will pay for it, it is rare and i hope it goes to a good home like the seller said we all see it on the streets for years to come. good luck who ever gets it!
