Just fitted 120y discs to front of ute, found once fitted though the only mags that will fit are the standard 12" ones because the calipers stick out so far. Need an extra 3-4mm, just wondering how safe it is to trim off this much from the edge of the caliper (there's a heap of meat there). Could use spacers, but cant get a warrant of fitness in nz with these (your roadworthy cert).

Im sure its going to be harder to pass roadworthy with a pair of calipers with angle grinder marks in them. Maybe try some different wheels?

well what other wheels are you using?

i have some 12" ones (not stock) and they clear mine easy enough.

get other wheels mate. or pass it for a warrant of fitness with the stockies on it and then change the wheels after...

i've got 6 sets of mags, all rwd, all low offsets, all fit my other datsuns, and none of them clear the calipers. Need 15mm from inside mag face to mounting surface.

i found this proiblem aswell when i did my coupe strut conversion.
I got out the grinder and ground down the caliper housing thats in the way. Just do it in bits and try not to heat the metal to harshly.
It look 15 mins and the wheels fit fine now.

paint the cailpers afterwards so it doesnt show the grind marks.

All you need is a gas axe, to remove the bulk of the material, right angle grinder to make it look pretty & a Queensland Guarantee, [She'll be right] You're back on the road again.
