i had a similar problem with a mazda ute, i took off the petrol tak nd cleaned all the lines and the tank itself, i had about half a kilo of #### stuck in various places in the lines, and under acceleratino fuel would be choked by the muck stuck in the lines. Maybe it's time to clean out your tank?

points gap has been triple checked. Leads, plugs and cap are all near new

try spark plugs dizzy cap or leads and doble check you have points gap right

Hoping someone can help me, my 81 1200 ute sometimes when accelerating won't accelerate, like engine is choking?? have changed points, coil, rotor arm, air cleaner and have had carbie rebuilt. Any help much appreciated.
