This is my first datsun 1200 Ute, my grandfather passed it down to me.
I am turning it into a project and i was wondering on a few ideas and help.

It currently all standard. A12 engine, no interior work, blue exterior i will take some photos and post them when i can get my camera to work.

I am after any ideas to help me get started like what engine? Is it worth rebuilding the A12 and putting extractors and webber carby on it or upgrade the engine to a A14 or A15.

Anything will help

welcome mate. now probably the most common upgrade of the engine would be a mild-hot(worked) A14 with a bigger carby or sidedraught webers. ask away and im sure someone on here can help ya out mate.

What else have you done to the A12 engine you have in your datsun?

How far did you bore it out to?

get an a14 or a15... extractors and carby (s)

what year model is it? will depend if you have to mod engine mounts or not.

alos look at upgrading the brakes, they are trrrible standard. stanza are good but budget 120y is also ok if you have drums

Just another question

I have been looking at new seats for my ute. What would be the best seats to replace the old ones that i have, that still give you about the same room or more.

Thanks

You could try something real different and keep it stock standard.
