just had my jets done to !!!! dyno'd and running fantastic !!! less than 3% co2 right thru the rev range ... nice even acceleration ... no petrol stink

what carb/carbs are you using wurzel ?

(no hp figures ... mech said it's not worth quoting the figures off their machine as they are around 1/3 less than any other dyno they've seen )

32/36...Dave had it set up for his worked A15...so the amount of fuel going through them was riduculous for the A12...so I got smaller jets put in...now it just seems to be holding back.

if anyone's interested NDSOC (nissan datsun sports owners club) has a great ocean road on the 27th of this month - Luke's Run.

starts a little earlier than ours from memory ... usually meet at anglesea around 8:00am and leave from there ...

edit : just watched the video ... came up good !!! some good footage with the camera pointing out the back between lorne and wye river all the stuff out the front came up good to ... but no dattos in the shots - just mobile chicanes

The old 120y kept up better then i expected.
now im left with a long list of improvements to make before the next cruise.
i only need to upgrade the brakes, suspension, engine . . . . .

i didn't realise that a "cruise" meant flog the living daylights out of your car, next time i'll come prepared

gino our cruises are usually a little more tame than this one. But i had a ball.

maybe boofs onboard camera inspired him to lead they way a little quicker than normal

the old 120 kept up very well indeed.
Just goes to show how quick the old datto's are through the twisty stuff no matter how many or how few mods you do to them.

yeah ginos 120y kept up alot better than i thought it would....even if we were slowed down by a bike

and its the great ocen road, cant just be slowly motoring along the road when its so much more fun to go flat out

Well first of all fomal apologies to all for being the one to cut the trip short for all(...to cut a long story short for those who werent there... tight corners+ loose battery bracket+battery contact with alternator=acid all over the electrics+a big mess!)
Pretty overwhelmed by all of you sticking around to help at get it back on the road...so much thanks and respect...couldnt think of a better bunch of peeps to break down around
That aside...It was a perfect day!I had heaps of fun and it was great to meet you all.
Hopes to humbly see you all at the next one (after a trip to the auto-electricians to get the mess sorted...) Weirdest thing was...while losing the use certain electrics...the central locking unit has mysteriously started working again!
