U.S. crowd: Where can you get replacement strut inserts?

We're looking for some replacement strut inserts suitable for street use for one of the 1200's. Can anyone point to a website or parts house on the American continent with a set, or a rebuild kit for the originals? I know the rabbit inserts fit with some cutting, but we'd rather not do that unless we have to.

hmmm....
www.partsamerica.com? seems like i paid too much for some oem strut inserts and coil springs... it's been a few years now. I even had some koni red inserts for a 210 front end i sold on ebay at a big loss... now it's easy, i just get S13 struts ...

ebay
i had an nos set of koni's that i bought on ebay, and i have seen a few pairs nos kyb and mulholland on ebay as well i'm pretty sure my friend found monroe or gabriel at the auto parts store, but that was some years ago before i'd switch to wider diameter struts, i'd investigate thoroughly, and see if the japanese parts supplier can get some (if he ever responds to his own poast that is)

Gabriel and Monroe's are still availible special order from parts places. 3-5 days I think
E-mail / call Koni North America..........they can get them but it will take a while. KYB as of 6 months ago still had them , check online for the current part # , again it will take a couple of weeks. Most places only list rear dampers because they are multi use and still be used by enough people to warrent stocking them. Tom

According to the 2006 KYB catalog they aren't making the fronts anymore, not even for a 510:
http://www.kyb.com/catalog/2006_passenger_car.pdf I guess I'll call Koni and see what happens.

I was in my local Foriegn car parts place a few months back and the parts manager whom I've know for years checked and said he could get them..........it would take a while so I assume he's getting them from overseas somewhere.
Last time I talked to a Koni guy trackside was pretty much the same thing.....that was 6 months ago. Worst case use the Gabriels..............we used them for the first 2 years the coupe was raced. Tom

Matt mind you on the Koni's I'm talking to folks who do Formula Atlantics. So I did a quick check on what Koni still offers...............doesn't sound cheap but if you send them a strut they can make up a insert or wet liner.
As for KYB's I will ask my parts manager buddy and see what really is availible. He does a lot of odd ball vintage stuff.............maybe we can find a source. Never noticed the monroe/gabrials raisng the car but of course that was 20 years ago when we used them. Tom You can view topic.
