ca18det againist sr20 converison??

Hey guys..

dnt yell at me but i have tried searching it up too..

i cant find any ca18det packages in adelaide for the last 5months.. and when u do they want just as much as a sr20.. and there is hell sr20's in adelaide for sale..

so my question is.. How much harder would the sr20 be from the ca18det..

coz u still gotta cut the tunnel and raditor stuff out, and put new hydro clutch. and tailshaft for a ca18det..

ssoo yeh.. plzz give me all ya advice..

SR Conversion would be very simaler to a Ca18 conversion. Still have to do the same amount of modifactions for both. The main differnce would be swaybar fittment. You can get away with normal swaybar with ca18 but have to run custom or modified to clear SR sump.
The SR is physically bigger and heavier too but will sit in the same mounting possition as the CA18 the gearbox is much the same. The Sr's do make more power and tourque stock but can be more expensive to modify for some parts. Another major part is legality The sr20det is not 100% legal in NSW going from RTA car weight to engine capacity guidlines. I have seen a few regoed with SR20 turbos they must have paid a bit for engineering??
