Hi im just wundrn what do i need to put a ca18 non-turbo motor in the 1200 nd how much cutting is involved?? Will i need bigger brakes to get it engineered nd what gearbox fits straight up throught the original hole any info is much appreciated THANX Appsy1

There is so much info on the conversion on this site. Hit the search button.

Fabrication wize there is little to no difference between the turbo and non-turbo CAs.

To answer your questions though. 1200 Auto tunnel doesn't requires making bigger for the manual CA18 gearbox (however you will need to relocate the shifter back further). You will need to fabricate a gearbox crossmember and fabricate new engine mounts. (there are several kits going around ie maddat that can make your life easier).
Bigger brakes - There are a heap of options from R31 struts and brakes to Stanza Girlock struts and calipers or 120Y setup - each option has it's + and -. IF you do go for larger brakes upgrade the master cylinder.

The question you should ask yourself with brakes is do you want to drive around with crappy brakes? Because there will always be an engineer willing to sign off on substandard work.

Hey i did a search nd found lots of info nd prices, i have stanza struts in the front of my ute would they be ok for a stock ca18 nd would a standard 1200 diff be able to handle that motor THANX Appsy1

In standard form (the motor that is) both your brakes and diff should be fine. If you want more power though, it would be a good idea to install new disks, calipers and a diff. Plenty of versions you can go with from here.
