Well you wouldn't use the 60a box with the CA anyway
You'd use the 5 speed that comes with it like I'll be doing

I've had long talks with rego dept about the CA conversion into my 1000 coupe
They were not at all keen
Once I explained I wanted a later model efi engine in RWD and the fact the only way you will get this thru Nissan is 1.8 or 2.0 they softened alittle
But they were against any form of boost

However
I'm still going to go ahead with my CA turbo setup
However my CA is a SOHC not a big head DOHC and after explaining this to them they gave me verbal approval but won't put anything on paper till they see it in the car

You will need suitable suspension , brake and chassis mods to get anywhere near rego plates

This is my theory (for my own car)
CA18ET
Factory computer
Factory 5 speed that came with the CA
Custom tailshaft
R31 Pintara diff with disc rear (R32 2 pots actually on vented disc)
4 link rear setup (no more leaves)
Front brakes will be my hubs (in alloy) but adapted to 294mm WRX 2 piece discs
AP 4 pot calipers from MGF Trophy.
Balance bar and twin master cylinders
Hydraulic clutch setup (hidden under dash)
Chassis strengthening and seem welding
Coilover front setup

Thats just for starters

If you want a cheap HP solution jump on the turbo manifold bandwagon and go that way with an A series
I will also be doing this for my wagon with old race motor.

whats the deal with that? They do HP/weight rather than engine capacity/weight over there? A little hard to police without having a dyno in the back of every police car..

Yeah righto dattoman. Is all the stuff that you have listed neccessary, as must have stuff done, or doing for the projects sake. This is good infomation. Basically the ca18det is out for the count.
so its a ca18et/ E16 / E15.
The A15 is sounding better at this stage, though a ca18 would be awsome.

I can get a hold of an E16 pretty eaisly. I have heard roumers that they bolt to an A series box directly bar one bolt, which is just a new hole in the box somewhere.

Wonder how many ponies an E16 would put out vs the A15?
