in victoria they are too dumb to know that an L20b didnt come in a 1200...so you can just change the engine number

it says datsun on the rocker cover....how often do they look at the engine number

and if vicroads change the number for you, then who is to know its not standard even when they do look at the engine number

nah probably easyer and cheaper to get some twin 40s for the a15, and that should make a world of differance

nah, i would actually spend money on it to do it right, not like most of my heavily budgeted adventures (hell even had to get kmart to price match oil to service the thing)

Ha that reminds me of when I put a 94 model XR6 motor in my 74 Falcon. The bird at Service Tas (like Vic Roads) said "oh, that engine number is not right, its for a 94 sedan" her work mate says over her shoulder "no thats right, have you done an engine conversion sir?" and I am like, yeah, and she says to her mate.. just put those figures there and type this here are here we are sir.. your new rego papers. Thanks very much.

haha yeah thats right. they wouldnt have known any different. I peaked out about bringing that car over to melb cause I heard how strict vic roads and the cops are (so I left it in tas) but I have never been pulled over in 2 years living in melb. Sorry, I lie, once was for speeding in the rain (got a warning) and the other was RBT.

i've got 1 1/2 inch SU's (sss) on my A15, dyno run coming soon. very powerful, spind wheels in 1st second and a little bit of third( brake on)
keeps me speeding!
and keeps FPV poofters crying, well for a little bit any way...psscchhhh vroom. thats all i'm missing!
