On my track A15 came a sweet pair of 44mm solex sidedrafts. Now i havent had any experience with solex's so just wanting to ask a few q's.
There are 4 tubes coming from the bottom of the carbs, two on each carb. where do these go? maybe vacum hose? fuel return ?
Also my A15 came with electronic ignition from vannete, the engine has been run previously with the carbs and manifold and dizzy that came with it. but the manifold has no oulets for vacumm advance, any ideas?
im just uploading pictures on the carbs now.
Cheers

Vacuum for the distributor is not sourced from the manifold, it must come from a port on a carb for that. A special port that exists for the purpose of providing vacuum at all times except idle.

Webers don't have it, obviously Solex's don't have it & I doubt that DelOrto's have it either, but never mind, once you bolt these suckers on your engine won't develop enough vacuum to suck fizzy drink up a straw, so you won't need it.

They look very pretty, however my engine guy said solex's arent worth their weight in aluminium. They cant keep a tune and parts to service or rebuild them are darn near impossible to get.
