The casting model costs 10000euro's.

I'm not going to pay for that kind of amount unless I'm sure that there's enough people ordering this head. A financial risk that I'm not going to take.

When the original is used as a model the functionality is a quaratie. The pro's at the casting company can make their own ways making it better, I or anyone else here can not adwise them on that.

I'm not worried about it's functionality as a whole or by some sparkplug thing because the ignition systems are not the same now than then. And the not so well positioned std/gx head sparkplug work's well also.

Those who will get along will send me their contact info.

The pricing is like this:

One set includes,
Casted head and rocker(head)cover.
Material: 340Nm/mm2 Aluminium
No machining included just standard finalising after casting.

Everyone need hole's to be drilled, planing for every side.

The casting model is ported in Superflow bench, so no porting required.

Price for 20pcs. is 900euro's / one and for 40pcs. 550euro's / one.

I'm going to machine every one by myself, because that's what I do for living besides rallying.

Just to clarify, on the 4th of this month all heads were to be fully machined by you personally, but two weeks later, they are to be sold as bare, raw unmachined castings.
Is that correct?

I don't know how I wrote it or how you understood it but the pricing was written like this:

UPDATE:

Got one price offer just few minutes ago:

Castingplates(Modelling) + Head + Cover if ordered 20 pcs. would be 900euro's/1217.72USD/1453.49 Australian Dollars a peace without machining. Gets cheaper if ordered more.

And as I understand it I can / will do the machining that needs to but that is not or never was included into price. Did it read that way somewhere?

And quite many have had intrest to do the machining somewhere else so I have nothing against that.

When you send your contact information you will get the further information how we will drive this trough.

There is a model of the rocker setup and that is the next stage of remaking.

Firstly we need to get the head and rockercover ready.

LTR, do I have this right?

The head will be supplied "as cast".

It will need -
All mating surfaces machined.
Ports given a final touch up to get rid of any casting marks.
Valve guide holes drilled and guides fitted.
Valve seat locations machined and seats fitted.
Valve spring seats machined.
Oil feed gallery drilled.
Rocker shaft pedestal mounting holes drilled & tapped.
Spark plug holes drilled & tapped.
All manifold mounting holes drilled and tapped.
Thermostat housing mounting holes and any bracket mounting holes drilled and tapped.
Water temp sender location drilled & tapped.

Have I missed anything?

And you said you have the rocker setup available to use as a model, are you able to get someone to draw it up in CAD and send the file over? That sort of stuff may be easier to get made locally if all the specs are made available.

Ports should be ready as it is. The high pressure casting system needed to meet the strenght reguirements has quite good finalising as standard.

There really ain't so many holes or so on this head to be drilled or tapped and the major of them can again to be made easily when the casting is done.

I intend to buy some new stuff for my programmable drill so that could do all holes and tapping automatically if needed.

And I also intend to try to get the all the hole's into our order description, afterall the total price of this project ain't a pennydeal anymore.

Otherwise you got it right.

The original rocker setup is at the local university under investigation. My friend who works there takes all the measurements and calculates all the forces weight's etc. that has something to do with this part. Then he'll decide if it's good enough for to be used as a model or should it be redesigned somehow. He build parts to WRC cars so I'm not going to tell him what to do.
And the CAD pictures we'll surely get from him when they are ready.

It depend's how you do it. Single unit could cost 100euro's, 40 units a lot less a piece.

Only 3 have send me mail and confirmed their intrest, now would be the time to register yourself whether you are in or out. Still the list here has over 30 names..
