Some wise words there. The short shift wont transform the box into a racer. As mentioned above "the syncros" need time to do there thing.

ang94541 would you recomend raising the pivot point 1.250"/31.75mm or maybe abit less? Maybe a bit less. I've been tying to pay attention to how this shifts. First of all, I have a 1/2, 3/4, 5/R 5spd. The 2 to 3 shift is pretty easy. When I push out of 2nd, the spring that centers your stick in Neutral pushes the stick right in front of 3rd. Going from 4th to 5th is difficult. You push out of 4th, make sure your centered, then push towards 5/R and push up. With such a short throw it's hard to go "diagonally" from 4th to 5th. It doesn't take much to move too far, past Neutral, and not be able to move sideways. Remember, only the throw is shortened. The side to side movement does not change. It's also not a "dog" box. The synchros need some time to do their thing. It seems like my movements are slower to get it to shift correctly. It could also be the condition of my trans.

I tapped the original fulcrum pin hole M10x1.25 and used M10x1.25 flathead (countersunk) screws. The block sits on the transmission and the countersunk screws help keep it in position.
By the way, I've been trying to upload a diagram but the file is too big. I'm still working on reducing the size and still have the dimensions readable.

They are on the side of the box. (Right side I think) You'd probably need to drop the box to do it, they are usually locktited in.
