so even with a big brake upgrade and all that stuff, you would not be alowed a sr20det in a 1200 ute? in vic. on a ca18det and sr20de?

Sorry husband to be The thing is i just dont like them the z18 never seams to have problem like ive heard with not just mine but others and the z18,s are in two diffrent cars 1 1600 datsun and 1 gailant as i said each to there own

The motor had 140.000 on it and also im talking about having the motor 10 /12 years ago so thay were pretty fresh its 1200 post,s girlfriend every one to there own taste but the sr20de /det are still a lot better .The z18 my boyfriend has drove his every day for the last 18 years everywear and has broken down once because of a fuse ive never had trouble with mine as for the sr20 well he brake,s a piston or too long time ago but thats what you get when your tuning and learning is it lol

my CA has approx 180,000 k's, still go-in fine, i bought it from the importers with 177,000 K's on the clock. all i did was replace the timing belt and cleaned the injectors.

People need to remember that CAs are a 20 year old motor. If you don't replace heater hoses, water pump, timing belt, bearings etc before you install them you will run into issues.

1200post - I am not suggesting you didn't do these things. It sounds like you've had a rough run. Hopefully you will be happy with the Z18.

yeah i agree wit perthute.. i kno a number of my mates have had no prob at all with the CA.. most of them are either dragging them or are in drift cars..
