Pigdog, yes i do make the coilover/ camber tops with the thrust bearings, but i sell them through Baz at Datsport, i made them to suit his R31 strut conversion.

Thanks for the reply sssute, I can see that it makes good business sence to follow the market, and right now the market is CA18DET's, One day you might get board and try to dummy fit a SR using your CA mounts and it may just fit. If thats the case then rock on buddy, less work and more money comming your way

Maddat CA/1200 accel cable is a tight fit on SR/1200's because of the SR's throttlebody angle. It fits my SR with minimal room for movement but adjusts up perfectly. Photo looks like cable has plenty of slack, but its a fairly tight fit. My SR sits fairly close to the firewall.

Showing my 3 row pulley is a fair way back from the front rail of the car.

Crossmember show SR/1200 mounts very similar in position to Maddat CA/1200 mounts

Bundy351, Thanks for the kind coments.
One of the reason that we dont make the sr conversion for the 1200 is that there has been very little demand for it as it is illegal in the turbo version, so the demand has been very low. It seems that most customers want turbo conversions.
I have never tested to see how similar the sr would be in the 1200 i may have to test this out. The gearboxes on the SR and CA are very similar as you mention, so if using one of our larger trans tunnels the top section might not be an issue.
As for accelerator cables, both engines throttle bodys are in about the same position, so it sould work.

Someone mentioned SR20 conversion gear but you wont make is cause you say its illegial in most states, thats just for the turbo engine. I am putting it the NA motor and it IS legal by the power to weight calculator.

This may sound silly but dont the SR and CA power plants share similar engine and box mounts? The mounting kit I am buying for my SR20DE conversion (from Kev Rowley) is the exact same kit for the CA18. The main difference is the area around the top of the bellhousing (where the box meets the engine) in the tranny tunnel has to be beaten in a bit. Would that also mean your CA18 accelerator cable kit COULD work in my application, infact any of your CA18 stuff MIGHT work in a SR20 conversion. Anyhoo, you got some sweet gear for sale and I look forward to using some if it in the future. Keep up the great Fabrication work
