with mine when i put blocks in, the handling seems to have stayed the same, the only downside is that now when ever im trying to drift around a corner or rip a burnout, i just get horrendous axle tramp

The rigidity of the ride wont change as you aren't changing the springs. With blocks you are just moving the axel upwards away from the springs. If you are going to change bushes and shocks as well as put lowering blocks in you are disassembling the whole rear end anyway. So why not pull it apart and take the springs away to be reset? You will end up with a better handling car as well as a lower car, as blocks will make the car handle worse. As for price, just ring around some of your local suspension joints for idea of what it will cost. You'll save some dollars by pulling them out yourself and taking them down ready to go. Blocks are a cheap way to lower your car for 'looks' But resetting the springs gives you the looks with the extra handling ability, which afterall, is the real reason for lowering a car.

Ok, so i know most people, if not everyone, is going to say that reset springs is always preferable to lowering blocks in the back of a car, but in everyones opinion is it worth the money and the hassle???
I'm most likely just gonna throw blocks in the back of my ute and just put new shocks and bushes in at the same time to try and counteract the rigidity a little, cause i'm working on a budget, but i just wanted peoples opinions.
Also what sort of price is it to get the springs reset??? I have heard differeng opinions so just wanted to hear what peoples experience is with the cost of doing it.
Cheers Trav
