well I'll start with a bit of a tale. My friend bought the 1000 for 250 bucks over two years ago now. In just under 6 months he had all the rust removed and repaired into a perfect state, the interior gutted, and a A15 motor from the states. Now I'm thinking about buying it, its not really for sale but for the right price it will be
Now I've contacted an aussie about custom front brakes to replace those old tired out drums.
Heres where I'm lost, I want to see some decent power out of this motor about 150 HP (I know thats nearly double what it was stock) But I belive with a larger carb, 8.5:1 comp pistions, a 2JZE supercharger, a cam grind(something mild and streetable), and a port and polish I should be at about these numbers. Can anyone tell me where to find a larger carb, and the name of a shop that will grind the cam?
Now for the suspension wich is my last worry. Where can I find kits to replace all those worn out bushings? And what could I possibly do for coilovers?
My searches have been hopless it seems like these cars are pretty much extinct. Any help will be greatly appricated.
