handle better? that's too vague to know if a rear bar will help it handle better. if you are trying to reduce understeer, then yes it will help. if its not really understeering now, then you might only make it handle worse by introducing too much oversteer. Or if you want to reduce the amount of bodyroll in total, you will have to increase the roll resistance at both ends either with springs, shocks or bars. Quote:
1. check condition of all bushes first. 2. check condition of shocks 3. have pinion angle checked by a suspension specialist. can be adjusted with wedges. 4. if none of that works (it really should unless you have heaps of power), have the leaf pack revised with a reverse half leaf on top of the pack.

Your spring guy can put in a short stiff leaf on the top forward part of your spring pack that will fix the axle tramp.

but if that's all you do you might just be treating the symptom rather than fixing the problem. if everything is in good condition and set up properly, you shouldn't get axle tramp unless the springs simply can't handle the torque being put through them.
check the other things first.

datsun_guy the grille on my 120Y is just a late model one, pretty common.
I have the front of my 120Y sitting on low king springs and stadard replacement 180B shocks I believe. The rear is standard height with some commodore shocks. 20mm front swaybar. When going into corners I can turn the wheel and the car just ploughs foreward until it loses enough speed then turns the corner. I'm running about 2-2.5deg neg camber but it stll scrubs the hell out of the outside edges of the tyres. Can this be fixed by changing components or am I just going too hard into corners? I believe the rear "roll centre?" may be too high causing the understeer? The rear is damn high when braking into a corner... heres a pic: ![]()

some smaller profile tires and a reduction in ride height should do it some good
so in short you have understeer when entering corners tyrie my 1200 was understeering rather bad, changed tires and added some camber....say hello to oversteer, maybe its just coz i moved the old tires from the front to the back

yeh understeers entering corners. It still understeered entering corners when I put 205/50s on the back (from 225/50) but then had oversteer out of corners.
