Hey guys ive just got myself a 1000 sedan and i was going to try to upgrade from the ol vinyl seats to something newish maybe from an import etc.. and would like to see what other people here have gone for. To hopefully make my life a little easier. Any tips would help. Cheers

I have S13 Silvia seats in my 1000 wags. the only reason i chose them is because they were FREE! And it had the old squabs in it before. Had to make all brakets up but not to hard really. Fit well. I sit 1 click foward from all the way back. i can even have the rear seat folded down as you can see!

I've got a set of S13 seats but i haven't tried to fit them in the 1000 yet although they are sitting in the yellow 2 door..

I have a set of SB Barina seats that alnost was a direct bolt in! So easy to do. Still had to make brackets though, but wasnt hard.

Its fine to get new seats but you have an old car so go old skool, these Cobra racing seats will look as at home in the 1000 now as they would have when the car was new.

Also most modern car seats are heavy, you want light weight ones.

Well post me a set over.. they will go a treat in the Wag and the Granny Spec... better make that two sets..lol

Cheers for the info guys, my main problem is getting something that doesn't look too out of place, and seeing as i have a red interior it will be hard. Those cobra seats would be good but a bit pricey id say, im only looking at about 100-200 a pair. I was thinking suzuki swift GTI seeing as they would be pretty narrow, guess ive just gotta do some hunting!!

My 1000 coupe has seats from a Honda CRX, the first series which had a little window across the bottom of the hatchback. They're quite narrow enough to fit and still have room to operate the lever on the side with the door shut.
