I wouldn't lock the dizzy. It would be better to just reduce the amount of mechanical advance travel.
With fuel injection, an ECU can richen up the mixture to compensate for detonation tendencies present at big boost. I know a few poeple who will run VERY rich at high boost, rather than retard their timing.

I thought I explained it ok..If ya don,t get it after that well I,m obviously talking to a brick wall so why should I keep going!! Happy now u got me to reply.. U know the guy say,s can any 1 explain why u need retard on a boosted motor.. Well leave the timing at 32 deg and put a bar of boost in, see what happens.. God wot a no brainer..How old are u mate still in kindy??Have you actually done anything in your life except shoot people down?? Any wonder I whinged at you..Whats the actuator got to do with the vaccum canister on the dist?? WTF are U talking about?? And how would you do it, come on put something usefull into this thread instead of nailing people if you can!!! Peace Love ETC BS BS BS

Number 1 champ, learn about what you post about before you bother posting.
Number 2 learn what a actuator is and not what your hectik friends say it is.
Number 3 32deg timing doesnt mean #### will happen. 32deg and 1 bar of boost doesnt mean the engine will suffer detination..
Number 4 you didnt answer what you are expecting the boost retard to achieve. But your statements lead one to believe that you have no idea.
Number 5 How would I do it? I will quote myself from this thread;

My advice, leave the distributor stock, or use one of the many known elec distributors regraphed to suit a NA A series.
Dont worry about bullcrap ignition retard.
If there is detination, just back of the dissy to reduce the degree of advance. Then sort out why it was detinating. 99% of the time it will be lean fuel mixture.

Sorry you couldnt seem to read that.
Number 6 Go back to lifting boxes and push broom sticks.

Bundy how does it feel to squeeze the accelerator on your sr20 1200? before you couldnt wait. But now days you havent even bought one yet?
Are you just someone who posts in threads to look cool?
