Another overboard response.
I'm running 3/8" to feed the engine, and 5/16" return. I'm not sure the final purpose for your car - but I'm running fuel lines inside the cabin (it's a race car only) - saves a lot of bends in the piping.

For the Most conversions 5/16 is a good size to use, a bit bigger if you are wanting to be pulling serious KW's.

Good question mikgan - I know that "Andrew's Coupe" uses 3/8 and that makes pretty good CA18DET power - it think 200+rwkw.
I was planning to use 3/8 - just so I'd never have to upgrade....but I worried when I get to the engine end. I think the pipes coming out of the fuel rail are 5/16 or even smaller diameter - so I'm not sure yet if I need some sort of reducer pipe or not....

Mildman your on fire !! My new fuel line is 3/8 also and runs very similar to the factory lines,(easy to do and bend) im not running massive kw like discussed here (yet) but i thought do it once and the return line will take care of any extra fuel.(better more than not enough) with mine the fuel line runs into a fuel pressure regulator and then out any size i want. So that fixes any reducer probs i might have.
hope that helps mikgan.

So you have a fuel pressure regulator before the fuel rail....is that a CA?

Na Mildman, i must have confused you with my wording. Its nothing that hasnt been done 100 times before, but i though i would help out milkgan. after the lifter, surge tank, efi pump in the back i have the upgraded fuel line all the way to the fuel pressure regulator in the engine bay. Then if required i can reduce the fuel hose/line from the regulator an not have to muck around with extra fittings. its a reducer a pressure regulator in 1.

Just gave me a good idea BigD!
I plan to install the EFI fuel filter in the engine bay, rather than in my metal box... I might make sure I can reduce it there to whatever the engine fuel rail sizes is. Thanks for the inspiration! You can view topic.
