Cool - good idea.

I'm still thinking of just pulling that pipe out of the current overflow pipe - plugging it into my overflow hose and blocking up the overflow hose hole.

I don't imagine I'll need the overflow - if I spill a bit I'm not going to care!

That's a nice looking fuel box by the way....

Actually I might look at T piecing the existing pipe - then it will flow to the tank and to the filler neck....yeah that's a good idea. I'm just full of them lately!

T-piece is a great idea. I was thinking of that too but just went with this option to try and avoid any engineering hassles in the future. I thought that if I left the stock lines alone it may not provoke the engineer as much. A dirty big pipe jammed in the top of it though..... have to wait and see.

Oh, and subs fit in with this setup BigD That's what I spent the other half of my weekend doing. A nice mdf parcel shelf and speaker boxes in the back where the back seat used to be. Nice and plain.

Hmmm, isn't that Carter black going to make a heck of a racket in the box? Hehehe..... D'OH! So is my facet pump...... I made myself sad.

are you running a inline efi filter aswell???
is the efi pump 5/16 fitting???
my set up is
tank-carby filter-carby pump-surge-carby filter-vl fuel pump(3/8in 5/16 out)-inline efi filter.
overflow i had to bring breather through floor(ute)-t piece(1/2''-1/2''-5/16)and ran to filler and surge overflow.

my question is
will the carb filter before efi pump restrict fuel flow???

with the tool box

i might buy 1 i seen em today but i might put in centre against cab that way battery and surge will be inbetween the box and the sides of car i might even extend front and lid to cover surge tank

the way i have it set up it dont come past the wheel tub but fits between tub and cab

I will run an efi filter as well in the engine bay....just to save space in my box.

Carb filter before efi pump wont restrict flow - it's a low pressure filter that doesn't really interupt flow - just catches big particles.

I think the tool box is the way to go to house these pumps, you can do that or mount all that gear under the ute.

EFI pump is a 3/8" fitting on my setup - as I'm running 3/8 fuel line to the engine - I will probably reduce it down to whatever the fuel rail runs with the EFI fuel filter.

I have measure the fuel rail at the engine yet..my vernier ran out of batteries this week.

LOL @ Jim....facet pump noisy...just crank up those subs!

i used to run a holley blue in my ute.

it was louder than my engine (12a bridgeport)

im now running a carter black. much quieter in comparison to the holley blue.

but they still crank out a fair jingle

Rubber mount the steel box to keep the noise down?

I figure I wont hear it over the stupidly oversized exhaust I'll fit to the race car.

I have a sump area built into the drop tank, you can just make it out in the pic. I filter the fuel before the holley blue pump, and then filter again before entering the carbs.

Looking good Benny, that's what I figure I'll go with next time. Easier than running a surge tank, but a little more fabrication required.

Reminds me about a certain clock I was going to look into....forgetful..

i put a t-piece in the breather pipe from the top of the tank (under the little hatch in the boot floor) that seemed to work fine

i think you are mistaking what is a breather pipe in the filler neck for an over flow mildman
