OK well I'm probably going to get the engine swapped in this weekend or next weekend, will let you all know how it goes.

Quote:See details about this in the club's wiki article "Emission Controls" in the "Throttle Opener" section.
There is a section "Which controls can be eliminated?", but I've never tried to disable the TO. If you do it, add your results to the wiki article.

UPDATE
So I put off swapping in the engine and went on another search for a manifold and here's what I found. H95 oval port intake manifold.![]() So I'll end up using my A12 carb on this or see if I can find a second hand 32/36 Weber in good condition. I just have one more question, will my A12 exhaust bolt back up to the A15 head and manifold?

You will need to make up or buy an adaptor plate to make the Weber fit your Datsun manifold.

will my A12 exhaust bolt back up to the A15 head and manifold? Most likely the A12 exhaust will bolt to the A15 head. However, probably it will not bolt to the A15 manifold. There were two or three types of intake-to-exhaust mountings. This is in the area of the "stove".

hmm another problem. I'll check with the guy keeping the engine for me and see if he'll give me the exhaust as well. If not, what other options do I have?
